2004 was the 15th anniversary of El Mundo, the second largest newspaper in Spain. They commemorated it with a special issue that reviewed the most important events of each of these years. I got the assignment of doing the illustration for 1990 and the three decisive events that happened that year: the political changes in the Eastern Europe originated with the fall of the Wall a year before, the Iraqi ocupation of Kuwait that led to the western military invasion of Iraq, and the outbreak of the first corruption cases of the PSOE, the political party in the Spanish government back then.<\/p>\n
